The Yangtze River Delta Branch of China Special Equipment Inspection and Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the Branch) was founded in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province on July 29. Liu Sanjiang, president of CSEI, and Li Jun, mayor of Jiaxing attended the inauguration. Liu Sanjiang said, under the joint construction of Jiaxing city, the Branch will take Jiaxing city as the center, combine industrial characteristics of Jiaxing with location advantages of Yangtze River Delta, and integrate the Yangtze River Delta planning of scientific and technological innovation to realize the connectivity and sharing in the field of scientific research between the central and local authorities by means of scientific research, inspection and testing, formulation and revision of regulations and standards, and talent exchange and training.

Based on the development of the Yangtze River Delta Integrated Demonstration Zone, the main responsibility of the Branch is to carry out technical support and safety guarantee work such as inspection and testing, assessment and evaluation and risk management of boilers, pressure vessels, pressure pipelines, hazardous chemical equipment, mechanical and electrical equipment and related equipment and facilities in the Yangtze River Delta. We will take the Branch as a platform and focus on the research of security technology, research and development of major instruments and equipment, formulation and revision of regulations and standards, and research on policies and theories, promote the application and industrial transformation of high-tech technologies and scientific and technological achievements, and build a demonstration base for intelligent inspection and management of special equipment.

The Yangtze River Delta region is one of the regions with the most active economic development, the highest degree of openness and the strongest innovative ability. It has a decisive strategic position in the national modernization construction and all-round opening up pattern. Meanwhile, the developed digital economy in Yangtze River Delta is increasingly integrating with the real economy, which accelerate the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and has given rise to a number of new industries, new business forms and new modes, more and more new materials and new technologies appeared in the field of special equipment, and large-scale special equipment with high parameters and high risk is increasing. With the development of hydrogen energy and other new energies, new and higher requirements are put forward to improve the level of equipment safety guarantee in the Yangtze River Delta.
