Defect identification and control is an important part of equipment safety management and the main factor in risk prevention and control. In order to help professional technicians and administrators of equipment understand the application status and development trends of new technologies for defect inspection, analysis and evaluation, improve identification and disposal capabilities on equipment damage, make preventive strategies and plans, ensure safety production, CSEI and Refinery and Chemical Equipment Management Committee of China Petroleum & Petrochemical Equipment Industry Association (CPEI) jointly held a public lecture on petrochemical equipment defect inspection and evaluation technology. More than 1,700 technicians and management personnel from 52 oil refining, chemical, and coal chemical companies affiliated to Sinopec, Petro China, CNOOC, and China Energy Group participated in this lecture online.
The lecture mainly focused on the application of new technologies and methods, including the typical damage mechanism of petrochemical equipment, phased array ultrasound, far-field eddy current, eddy current array, digital rays, magneto-acoustic stress measurement, numerical simulation, etc. Combining theory with practice, it interpreted core technical standards and analyzed typical cases, etc.ina multi-dimensional way. This lecture helped the participants understand the industry technology trends, broadened their horizons, updated their knowledge, and has evoked strong repercussions in the industry.
