General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People"s Republic of China (AQSIQ) has released Supervision Regulation on Safety Technology for Stationary Pressure Vessel (SRST in abbreviation) on No.16 Announcement of 2016. The revision of SRST started in July, 2013 and its first draft was completed in November, 2014 after investigations，researches and seminars by drafting team and other professional teams. On 2015, it successfully passed the WTO/TBT notification.
SRST, which combined the existing 7 regulations in a more logical way, is an integrated regulation for stationary pressure vessel that unified and specified the basic safety requirements. It regulated the applicable range and unified the classifications about stationary pressure vessel according to the revised Special Equipment Catalogue, collected relating files about safety inspection of pressure vessel, problems during the former regulation"s implementation and suggestions on the Internet. Relating contents was supplemented to this regulation with the intention to solve the highlight existing problems.
The release of SRST revealed a new optimized stage of safety technical codes for pressure bearing special equipment and it plays a vital role on securing public safety and improving special equipment technology.
