On 1st June, long-distance pipeline and utility pipeline working group of group standards working committee of China Association of Special Equipment Inspection (CASEI) convened 2022 collective project establishment review meeting for group standards. Division of Pressure Pipeline of CSEI organized the meeting as the undertaking unit of the Secretariat. The review team is composed of the group standard working group, pipeline inspection working committee and industry experts.

This review meeting took online meeting form with collective project establishment review of eight group standards which includes guidelines for the Investigation and Classification of Hidden Dangers of Urban Gas Pipelines and the Inspection and Safety Assessment of In-service Gas Pipelines. The review group listened to the report of the applicants, inquired and discussed the necessity, advance, feasibility of the standards. Four Group Standards lead by Division of Pressure Pipeline of CSEI passed application of project establishment. Industry experts strictly control the quality of project establishment of standards, strictly check the focus points of the standards application, strictly control the applicability of standards’ technology, improve the practicality and feasibility of standards of project establishment, and promote the high-quality development of group standards formulation and revision.

Oriented by the popular issues in the domestic industry, the project establishment of group standards focuses on safety supervision of the oil and gas pipeline industry, safety operation needs of enterprises and weaknesses of existing standards, which has great significance for promoting engineering application of key technologies, support scientific safety management, and improve oil and gas pipeline standards system.
