Recently, on the basis of years of inspection work experience and scientific research results, the amusement facility health management team of the Amusement Facilities Department of CSEI proposed a service status evaluation method for large amusement facilities based on risk assessment and multi-parameter integration, and applied it to the engineering projects.

The electromagnetic ejection roller coaster project with expired service life of Wuhan Happy Valley is the first project that the management team used multi technical methods to evaluate the service status of large amusement facilities. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the amusement equipment operation characteristics and use & maintenance conditions, the team formulated a detailed evaluation plan, and then carried out all-around inspections and tests on the track, column, car body, electrical control system, and pneumatic system. They obtained key data that affect the equipment status, and carried out a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the equipment service status with the health management theory. The evaluation results provided strong technical supports for the safety evaluation of amusement equipment life extension, and the evaluation method also provided guidance for the life extension safety evaluation of other large amusement facilities.
