The National Key R & D Program Project Launching Conference Held in Beijing

On January 29th, the National Key R & D Program Project CSEI participated “Key Equipments and Safety Research on Liquefied Hydrogen Production, Storage & Transportation and Filling” launching conference was held in Beijing. Academician Zhou Yuan and academician Jin Hongguang of CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences),the competent director of Ministry of Science and Technology, and famous experts in the industry were present at the conference. Representatives of Beijing Sino-Science FULLCRYO Co. Ltd., Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry of CAS, Beijing Special Engineering Design and Research Institute, Tongji University, and CSEI attended the conference.

At the conference, the project leader and each subject leader reported the relevant research objectives, content, programs, and plans respectively. The leaders and experts devoted a fully discussion to the topics of projects/subjects implementation plans, offered constructive suggestions and proposals, which laid foundations for the projects/subjects smoothly implementing and pushing forward.

The National Key R & D Program in 2020 “Key Special Project of Renewable Energy Sources and Hydrogen Energy Technology”---“Key Equipment and Safety Research on Liquefied Hydrogen Production, Storage & Transportation and Filling” project was led by Beijing Sino-Science FULLCRYO Co. Ltd., and undertook by 10 units jointly including Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry of CAS and CSEI. The undertaken subject of CSEI “Key Technologies Research on Safety Risk Assessment and Prevention of Liquefied Hydrogen Production, Storage and Filling” took the of hydrogen liquefaction plants and hydrogen fueling station as main research objects, carried out the research of the law of hydrogen leakage and diffusion, multi-parameter coupling distribution characteristics, quantitative risk assessment techniques, safety detection, monitoring technology, and safety operation support technology integration and demonstration, etc. under typical scenario. The research was proposed to solve the bottleneck of safety assurance technology in the field of liquefied hydrogen production, storage and filling, to promote the leapfrog development of such industries as liquefied hydrogen storage and transportation equipment, and hydrogen fueling station in China.
