On December 5th, the founding conference of Pressure Pipeline Inspection Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) under China Association of Special Equipment Inspection was held in Chengdu. Liu Sanjiang, president of CSEI and chairman of China Association of Special Equipment Inspection, He Renyang, vice president of CSEI, as well as the related responsible person from SESA, SAMR, and Market Regulation Bureau of Sichuan Province attended the meeting. More than 100 representatives from national special equipment inspection and testing organizations, universities and business customers joined the meeting.

Liu Sanjiang pointed out that the safety guard of pressure pipeline is very important. It is necessary to earnestly study and implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, adhere to plan the development and safety as a whole, and promote the high-quality development of pressure pipeline safety through system reform, scientific and technological innovation, and establishment of industry norms. He stressed that the committee should perform its duty, focus on the needs of the industry, and carry out the 14th Five-Year Plan for scientific and technological innovation; it should promote the construction of a high-level professional talent team for pressure pipeline inspection through joint scientific research, standard development, textbook compilation, technical training and other activities; the Committee should full play the role of a bridge, actively reflect the demands of the industry, and improve the service level.

The mission of the Committee is to integrate the superior resources of the pressure pipeline safety assurance industry, build a professional academic research and technology exchange platform, aiming at supporting government supervision and servicing industry development. The task of the Committee is to break through the key technology, improve the quality level, standardize the industry behavior, build a good faith system, and create an orderly environment, so as to promote the technical progress and scientific and technological innovation of China"s pressure pipeline inspection and testing industry, and lead the high quality development of special equipment inspection industry. Meng Tao, director of Pressure Pipeline Department of CSEI, was elected as the chairman of the Committee. The Secretariat was located in Pressure Pipeline Department of CSEI. The participants discussed and adopted the working rules of the Committee as well as the work plan and development plan of 2021.
