CSEI Held an Academician Symposium on the afternoon of Nov. 3rd. Six academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, including Zhong Qunpeng, Li Helin, Gao Jinji, Wang Haizhou, Yang Huayong and Chen Xuedong, were invited to attend the conference. Chen Gang, former member of the party group of the State Administration for Market Supervision, Zhang Gang, president of China Special Equipment Safety and Energy Conservation Promotion Association, former counselor of the State Council, Jia Guodong, director of the Special Equipment Supervision Bureau of the State Administration for Market Supervision, and the leading group of CSEI attended the meeting. Scientific and technical personnel of CSEI and leaders and representatives from more than 50 provincial special equipment inspection organizations attended the meeting.

President Liu Sanjiang gave a speech to welcome the academicians, leaders and guests attending the conference, reviewed the development of CSEI in the past 40 years, and looked forward to the future development of our career.

Academician Zhong Qunpeng made a report on the future development of special equipment. He first of all expressed his congratulations on the 40th anniversary of the founding of CSEI and gave full recognition to the role played by CSEI in "ensuring safety and promoting development". Academician Yang Huayong made a report entitled "practice of intelligent manufacturing under digital economy", which is of great guiding significance to the application of modern information technology and realization of intellectualization in the field of special equipment. Academician Gao Jinji made a report entitled "intelligent operation and maintenance of equipment and independent health", which emphasized that accident prevention should be the focus of safety assurance, and put forward the innovative concept of independent health of equipment. Academician Chen Xuedong made a report entitled “High-end, Green and Intelligent Technology of Pressure Vessels Based on Intrinsic Safety". From the height of building a manufacturing powerhouse, he analyzed strategic needs of the state for pressure vessel technology, systematically reviewed the technical progress of pressure vessels in China in terms of standard specifications, design and manufacturing, and long-term safety guarantees for in-service pressure vessels, and proposed future research proposals for high-end manufacturing, green manufacturing, and intelligent manufacturing of pressure vessels.　　

This academicians" report meeting brought a technology feast to our institute, which was highly praised by more than 300 participants.
