The 15th Annual Meeting of China National Petroleum and Chemical Industry Automation was hold by China National Association for Automation in Petroleum and Chemical Industry on 1st to 4th Dec, 2016. Relevant units and individuals were awarded for 2015 China Petroleum and Chemical Automation Industry Science & Technology Prizes. The project of "Outside Damage Depression Defect Evaluation and Standard Development of Buried Steel Pipeline" from Pressure Pipeline Division, CSEI won the third-class prize of scientific and technological progress.

Supported by the national quality inspection public welfare subject "Analysis of Buried Pipeline Leakage Accident and Research on Key Technology of Accident Emergency" and quality inspection scientific & technology plan "Research on Evaluation Technology of Pipeline with Depression", this project overcomes the problems in the mechanism, evaluation methods and engineering verification of the pipeline depression defects, and makes up for the lack of the evaluation of the depression defects. After years of accumulation, the research team put forward the "Applicability Evaluation and Repair Criteria of Pipeline with Defects Based on Damage Process", which solves the bottleneck problem for the government safety supervision, and provides a much-needed technology for enterprise safety production.
