China-US Boiler Energy Efficiency Standard Cooperation Workshop was held in Beijing on Oct.11th. Mr. Gao Jixuan, Deputy Director General of SESA of AQSIQ and Mrs. Arlene Fetizanan, Senior Consultant of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Division of US Energy Department made a speech separately. Mr. Xie Tiejun, Vice President of CSEI, Mr. Guan Jian, Deputy Chief Engineer of SESA of AQSIQ, Mr. Wang Junwei, Division Director of Standardization Administration of the People"s Republic of China, Mr. Wang Weiguo, Deputy Secretary General of China Promotion Association for Special Equipment Safety and Energy-saving were present at the workshop. Altogether, 33 delegates from 16 companies attended this workshop. This workshop was hosted by Mr. Leng Hao, Division Director of SESA of AQSIQ.

During the workshop, ASME, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, China Promotion Association for Special Equipment Safety and Energy-saving and CSEI introduced the preliminary work progress of China-US boiler energy efficiency cooperation separately and had a deep discussion on regular exchange visits, deepening standard cooperation and organizing trainings. Both China and US side agreed on promoting the establishment of long-term mechanism of boiler energy efficiency cooperation.

Experts from both sides also discussed the boiler energy efficiency standards (ASME PTC4 and GB/T10180) and exchanged ideas on eliminating the current standard difference. Finally, these two sides signed a research report on comparisons about China-US boiler energy efficiency standard.

This workshop played a vital role on implementing the results of the 7th China-US strategic and economic dialogue and promoting the voluntary energy efficiency standardization of China-US boiler systems. It also made sense on deepening the China-US cooperation and promoting China"s boiler energy efficiency.
