Recently, AQSIQ has determined to set up Pressure Pipeline Safety Technology Center (PPSTC) of AQSIQ and to locate at CSEI. PPSTC’s business is managed by SESA.
CSEI, as a national-level special equipment inspection and research institution is committed to the safety technology research, technical codes and standards development & revision, and engineering technology service on pressure pipelines. At present, CSEI has 176 technical staffs for pressure pipeline, owns a hundred million value of pipeline inspection and testing equipment, cumulatively completed 50 thousands kilometers of pipeline inspection & testing and risk assessment, and developed the state-of-the-art pipeline safety technology guarantee ability.
Based on the Pipeline Division of CSEI, the PPSTC will carry out pipeline safety supervisory policy and system research, technical codes and standards drafting, safety assurance technology research, and audit communication, etc., then provide system solutions for pipeline safety assurance and hidden risk elimination, and technical support for AQSIQ to carry out pipeline quality supervision, safety inspection, risk assessment, hidden risk elimination and accident investigation.
