CSEI President Lin Shuqing met with the Lloyd’s Register Area General Manager of Greater China, Vice President Strategic Development, Energy Greater China, Melvin Zhang and Senior Representative Asia Beijing Representative Office, Joseph Xu on February 6th.
Lin Shuqing welcomed Melvin Zhang and appreciated long term assistance and supports of Lloyd’s Register to CSEI. He introduced the plan of CSEI to incorporate China Special Equipment Inspection Group, current progress, and China special equipment inspection institutes reform guideline and agenda. Melvin Zhang introduced the organizational structural and business management models of Lloyd’s Register as a nonprofit organization, which shall be great reference for top level design of establishing of China Special Equipment Inspection Group.
Two parties also exchanged views on in-process cooperation projects, discussed cooperation possibilities in fields of nuclear industry, railway, and group standard development during the meeting. In the end, two parties expressed the will to enhance communication to deepen bilateral cooperation.
