Vice President of BASF SE Klaus A. Jaeger and His Delegation Visited CSEI

On Aug.1st, the 5 people delegation headed by Dr. Klaus A. Jaeger, Vice President of BASF SE, Dr. Bernd Glaser, Director of Materials Engineering and Mr. Juergen Hauck, Director of Pressure Piping and Combustion Equipment visited CSEI. Guided and accompanied by Mr. Shou Binan, Vice President and Chief Engineer of CSEI, Dr. Klaus A. Jaeger and his delegation visited the CSEI laboratories in Shunyi. Mr. Lin Shuqing, President of CSEI, Mr. Jia Guodong, Vice President of CSEI and related staff met and had informal discussion with the delegation.   

Dr. Klaus A. Jaeger and his delegation mainly visited material lab, NDT lab, water treatment association lab and pressure pipe type test site. During the visit, the two sides exchanged views on material testing, corrosion and protection, damage detection, etc. Dr. Klaus A. Jaeger and his delegation expressed strong interest in all laboratories, discussed about the low temperature tension equipment, high temperature creep equipment, fatigue test equipment, hydraulic bulge equipment and corresponding tests, and put forward some reference proposals on corrosion protection measures.      

In the meeting, Mr. Lin Shuqing introduced the business areas, the laboratories and the relevant situation of CSEI. Dr. Klaus A. Jaeger provided a brief introduction of basic condition, business development status, organization, corporate planning of BASF SE. Then both sides had technical exchanges on construction of the laboratories in Shunyi, and exchanged views on the development and amendment of regulations and standards, industrial development and the business areas of common interest. The two sides deepened mutual understanding and trust through communication, and hoped to conduct cooperation with each other in areas of common interest.
