From June 20th to 23rd, the 11th Far East Forum on New Technology of Nondestructive Testing was held in Chengdu. Vice Director General of SESA, Mr. Gao Jixuan, Director General of Administration of Quality and Technology Supervision of Sichuan province, Mr. Guo Chunying, President of CSEI, Mr. Lin Shuqing attended the forum. More than 700 scholars, technical experts and nondestructive testing insiders from over 10 countries including America, Germany, France, Japan, Korea, and many domestic research institutes, higher colleges, inspection and testing organizations and manufacturers attended the forum. The relevant persons of the nondestructive testing technology center of CSEI were invited to this forum.

Mr. Lin Shuqing extended his congratulation on the opening of the forum in his speech, and pointed that the Far East forum on new technology of nondestructive testing produced positive effect in promoting the development of nondestructive testing technology for eleven years since its inception, and CSEI would continue to improve the nondestructive testing technology and promote the development of the industry.

The forum set nine parallel sessions for applications of nondestructive testing technology, and 172 symposiums covering the research fields of railway, wind power and special equipment were held. Focused on the topic of more and more perfect nondestructive testing and assessment technology, the domestic and foreign scholars and experts made further communication and discussion on nondestructive testing research and hot topics on its application.
