On May 23, 2014 Special Equipment Technology Platform council meeting was held in Shijiazhuang, Hebei. The Chairman of the Platform, Mr. Lin Shuqing, and 114 representatives from 52 organizations participated the meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Lin Shuqing contributed annual report for the Technology Collaboration Platform and introduced the latest progress of inspection bodies’ reform. 2013 annual finance report and 2014 work plan of Special Equipment Technology Collaboration Platform were presented at the meeting, while the new member’s application of entering the platform were approved. The rules of the Platform and the approach for the organization and management of professional committee were reviewed and revised. After consideration, the Council Meeting decided to set up the elevator professional committees and sign technology projects budget undertaking. Meanwhile, participants discussed the activity programs of 2014 National Special Equipment Safety and Energy Saving Technology Week, and the development trend of the journal of ‘China Special Equipment Safety’. During the meeting, participants also exchanged their opinions on inspection bodies’ reform issues which were commonly concerned by industry.

Special Equipment Technology Collaboration Platform was found in 2009. In recent years, led by Bureau of Special Equipment Safety Supervision (SESA) and Science& Technology Division of AQSIQ, also participated by platform members, it carried out a large number of research projects in order to enhance the research& innovation capability, overall strength of the industry, improve research and innovation environment of industry, reduce the duplication of investment in research resources, enhance sustainable development capability and as a strong support to promote the long-term development of science and technology of special equipment industry.（Resource from R&D project Management Department and China Special Equipment Safety Publishing House.）
