Special Equipment Science and Technology Cooperation Platform (hereinafter referred to as “Platform”) secretariat held 2013 annual job meeting for platform expert committee on Dec. 5 to 6, 2013. Mr. Shou Binan, Director of Special Equipment Sub-committee, Science & Technology Committee of AQSIQ and Vice-president & Chief Engineer of CSEI, Mr. Shen Gongtian, Platform’s Standing Vice Chairman and Vice-president of CSEI attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Platform’s Secretary General Mr. Ding Keqin. 110 R & D persons and project principals from more than 40 council members joined the meeting.  

The meeting’s key discussion on Dec. 5 was the executive condition of AQSIQ’s science and technology plan projects, including budget implementation, staged achievements and the existed problems, etc.. The Platform committee experts inquired the projects executive condition of each council member and provided improvement suggestion.  

According to “Administrative Measures of Platform in Regard to AQSIQ’s Science & Technology Plan Project”, the Platform committee experts pre-appraised 2014 AQSIQ’s science & technology plan projects applied and submitted by the council members. There were 29 projects attended the answer appraisal, including 18 pressure-bearing projects, 11 electromechanical projects. “Appraisal Measures of Platform in Regard to AQSIQ’s 2014 Science & Technology Plan Project Acceptance Criteria and Appraisal Method” was resolved via discussion in the meeting. Projects were divided to pressure-bearing and electromechanical categories, the two appraisal groups gave secret comprehensive grades to the projects respectively, and recommend to Science & Technology Department of AQSIQ according to final grades.  

This expert committee job meeting effectively ensures the quality of the recommended platform project through the supervision to the progress status of the council members’ scientific research projects. Meanwhile, the experts fully played their guiding function according to on-site query and answer. The meeting promoted science & technology communication and enhanced the scientificity and effectiveness of the Project Approve and Appraisal.
