On Feb.5, the Petrochemical Inspection and Maintenance Center of CSEI hold the Forum on the Technology for Safeguarding the Long Period Running of the Rotating Device in Petrochemical Plants in Guangxi. Mr. Shen Gongtian, vice president of CSEI, Mr. Wang Jianjun, director of the oil refining division of Sinopec, and Mr. He Chenghou, director of the chemical division of Sinopec were present at the forum. Expert representatives from Sinopec branch companies of Shanghai, Shanghai Gaoqiao, Yangzi and Yanshan, as well as expert representatives from Beihai Refinery, Hainan Refinery, Zhanjiang Dongxing Petrol Chemical Company, and Hefei General Machinery Research Institute attended the forum.

The Forum discussed the existing major questions in the long period running of the rotating device in petrochemical plants. The representatives exchanged idea on the aspects of the operation management and guarantee technologies to cope with the deterioration of the raw material and the need for high load and long period running of the petrochemical plants. The Forum agreed that the Petrochemical Inspection and Maintenance Center of CSEI, a good platform of the industry, could integrate the technological force of the industry, and establish a technology standard system which caters to the characteristics of the petrochemical plants and suits the management of petrochemical plants and meets the need for the long period running of the petrochemical plants. The technology standard system can be the basis for rotating device design, purchase, operation management and maintenance in the future, which in turn will promote the advancement of the technology management level to rotating device.

The Forum requested the Center to further clarify its objectives, make feasible working plans, give full play to its expert team, and cooperate actively with foreign technical organizations. First, the Center should try on the operation maintenance and management segments which still are vacuum zone in national and industrial standards, and endeavor to establish a technology standard system meeting the long period running need of the petrochemical plants within three to five years.
