Recently, authorized by Huaneng International Power Co., Ltd., CSEI carried out periodical inspection on its supercritical power boiler in Shanghai Shidongkou Second Power Plant. The boiler was put into production in June, 1992 and has been running for approximately 190,000 hours so far. CSEI inspectors used drone in the boiler inspections.

Drone has the functional advantages of high-altitude flight, small size, high-definition cameras and data recording. By using this technology, CSEI inspectors reduced a lot of scaffolding work for the user, saving costs and reducing risks. Drone carried out a comprehensive inspection of the existing inspection blind spots, and recorded the findings in images, which is convenient for the user in the subsequent repair and analysis.
