The 2019 working meeting of Pressure Pipeline Inspection Technology Union (hereinafter referred to as PPITU) was held in Xining on March 29th. 49 representatives from 19 institutions, including president of CSEI, Liu Sanjiang participated in this meeting.

The PPITU working report for 2018 was reviewed and the PPITU working plan for 2019 was settled by this meeting. Besides, the representatives had a heated discussion on topics of launch preparations for the Pressure Pipeline Inspection Working Committee of CASEI, industry development, safety risks & measures, strategic research on pressure pipeline Standardization 2035, intelligent pipeline inspection and so on.

In the meeting, Liu Sanjiang fully affirmed the PPITU’s achievements on standard development, project research, exchange, training, inspection & testing, joint Party building in 2018. In order to promote the development on pressure pipeline inspection, meet the challenges on system & technology reform and prevent the safety and team risks, he advocated that PPITU should continue to take full advantage of each attended institution, deepen their cooperation in technology research, standards, inspection & testing etc..

The PPITU, guided by pressure & pipeline division of SESA, SAMR, led by CSEI and consisted of 21 pipeline inspection agencies, was founded in Guiyang on May, 2018. It aims to strengthen the communications, promote the technology progress and provide better technology supports to pressure pipeline inspection.
