The 13th meeting of China international working group of ASME BPVⅡ (Material) was held in Wuhan on Apr. 16-17. Wuhan Boiler Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as WBCL) organized this meeting, more than 60 domestic and overseas industry experts from standardization organizations, supervision departments, engineering companies, design units, inspection institutes and steel plate & pipe mills in pressure equipment industry attended the meeting. CIWG president & chief researcher of CSEI Shou Binan and CIWG vice president Zhang Yong from Hefei Bureau of Technical Supervision hosted the meeting, technical director of ATC-Engineering Services Zhou Gang and general manager of WBCL Chen Chaoming attended the meeting.

The meeting listened to six reports including “Code Week” Status Report, Low Hardness P91 Steam Pipeline Lifetime Evaluation & Comprehensive Treatment, T91/P91 Steel Endurance Strength & Allowable Stress Research, Possibility of Using Gr. 91 Steel without Lowering the Allowable Stress with ASME for China Domestic Boilers, Potential Application of Graphene in Pressure Equipment Industry and Adjustment of the Maximum Hardness Value of SA-213 T22, and had some discussion. The member units reported and deliberated for 12 issues and determined next working arrangements. The augment of CIWG members was also discussed in the meeting. Furthermore, for the issues of long-term data scarcity & data treatment methods disunity of Chinese materials and lowering the allowable stress of Gr. 91 steel in ASME, CIWG planned to set up relevant groups for the further research.

Then the attendees visited the lab, workshop and exhibition hall of WBCL, parts of delegates visited Hubei Xinyegang Steel Co., Ltd. and had a discussion with the leaders and experts of Xinyegang.
