National Natural Science Foundation Committee of China published the review results of 2017 National Natural Science Foundation Projects of China on Aug. 16th. The project of “Research on Comprehensive Evaluation Parameters of Metal Creep Ultrasonic Testing Based on Feature Space Analysis” applied by Dr. Yuan Keyi from NDT Technology Center of CSEI has won the Youth Science Foundation.

The project put forward a research vision that use nonlinear feature space analysis method to extract balanced type creep evaluation parameters, to improve the sensitivity and anti-jamming of ultrasonic testing and evaluation of metal creep. The anticipated results will provide technical approaches for the nondestructive evaluation of creep damage of high temperature equipment.
